Greater flexibility to spray a conical fan spray to coat large surface areas, or transition to a stream spray for hard to reach areas. When straw is extended, the adjustment knob allows you to reduce (or increase) the flow rate. Permanently fixed clear straw, so no more losing the straw from the cap mount.
