Installation:

  1. Preparation:

    • Ensure the ends of the EMT conduit are clean and free from burrs.
    • Measure and cut the conduit to the desired length.
  2. Assembly:

    • Slide the compression connector onto one end of the EMT conduit.
    • Insert the other end of the conduit into the connector.
  3. Tightening:

    • Use a wrench to tighten the compression nuts on both sides of the connector.
    • Ensure the connection is secure and concrete-tight if required (by taping the connector).
  4. Connection to Box:

    • Insert the threaded end of the connector into the knockout hole of the electrical box.
    • Secure the connector to the box using the provided locknut. Tighten the locknut with a wrench to ensure a firm connection 
  5. Inspection:

    • Check the connection to ensure it is tight and there are no gaps.
    • Verify that the connector is properly aligned with the conduit and the box.

Tools Required:

  1. Pipe Cutter or Hacksaw: To cut the EMT conduit to the desired length.
  2. Deburring Tool: To remove any burrs from the cut ends of the conduit.
  3. Wrench: To tighten the compression nuts on the connector.
  4. Tape Measure: To measure the conduit lengths accurately.
  5. Level: To ensure the conduit is installed straight and level
